Why create a centre dedicated to the pectoralis major?
We wanted to create, within CEMPO, a centre of expertise in pectoralis major pathology.
We have been working for over 10 years on these often poorly understood injuries, which are the source of many management errors, and for which we have built extensive diagnostic and therapeutic expertise.
We are very active in research and have several publications to our name.
Clinique de l’Épaule et de la Main Paris Ouest
We practise within CEMPO (Clinique de l’Épaule et de la Main Paris Ouest), part of the Groupe Hospitalier Privé Ambroise Paré Hartmann, in Neuilly-sur-Seine (92).
CEMPO is a centre of excellence for the management of shoulder and upper-limb conditions.
The team also runs the SOS Main emergency hand-surgery unit within the same facility.
CEMPO comprises 5 orthopaedic surgeons, 2 sports physicians, and a physiotherapy and orthotics department specialising in hand rehabilitation.

Dr Charles Schlur
Dr Charles Schlur is an orthopaedic surgeon specialising in the shoulder and upper limb.
Where surgery is indicated, he can see you to plan a possible operation.
Dr Renaud Guiu
Dr Renaud Guiu is a sports physician and ultrasound specialist.
He determines the severity of the injury and any surgical indication during the initial consultation.

Our added value rests on several elements:
- Precise diagnostic expertise for the injury (tendinous, muscular, partial, complex…), which allows us to identify which injuries can be operated on and which will be treated medically.
- Surgical expertise to properly repair these injuries, since pectoralis major surgery requires extensive experience with them.
