Once this form has been completed, we will get back to you as soon as possible to arrange an in-person appointment in Neuilly. Appointments are preferably scheduled all day Monday and Thursday mornings.
For a recent injury (less than 8 weeks old), we will do our best to see you as quickly as possible. For an older injury (more than 8 weeks), there is no longer any particular urgency.
During your visit, you will be seen in consultation by Dr Guiu, who will examine you and perform an ultrasound. Following this assessment, if there is a potential surgical indication, you will be seen by Dr Schlur, who will decide with you on the next steps and, if appropriate, schedule a consultation with the anaesthetist and a date for surgery, depending on the level of urgency and your personal and professional constraints.
Surgery is, in the vast majority of cases, performed as day surgery — you arrive in the morning and go home the same evening.
Physiotherapy begins at 6 weeks to regain full range of motion, but real strengthening work will not begin until 3 months.
As far as possible, and taking your availability into account, post-operative follow-up consultations will be scheduled at 6 weeks and at 3 months. At 3 months, a follow-up ultrasound will be performed to confirm that the surgical reinsertion has held well.
